Surpise party.. for me!

What a great weekend! I thought this weekend was going to be another stuck inside all weekend, filling orders, uploading and checking in stuff but it wasn't! The Scrap Happy KT gals in MD, (most of which I knew before the store started) through me a surprise party! I couldn't believe it! I had so much fun! We cropped & opened gifts, well Meg and me did. It was a party for her too! I didn't get really any scrappin' done but I had a great time!! They made me a "What we love about Katie" album, which I will have to post once I add the photos to the pages. I also got my VERY cute handmade bag from Annie, which we will be selling in the store.. As well as a bag full of Scrap Happy KT buttons!! That's right.. I'm on a button! And if that isn't cool enough I also got a zip-up hoodie that says Scrap Happy KT on the front and back!!! How AWESOME is that!!! I am so loving it!!! I got some really great stuff! I couldn't believe it! I'm still in shock when I think about it! What awesome friends! Thanks sooooo much everyone! We also worked on the challenges and layouts for the Stamped In Ink weekend event! 

Started to move the store

I don't even know where to begin! I have been so busy and overwhelmed the past month! This past Sunday I started to move the store, with the help of my dad, Brandon & Jeremy. There's still plenty to move and I still have to set it all up. The last week has been non-stop shipments arriving! I haven't uploaded it all yet but here's what's arrived: Chatterbox, 3 Bugs in a Rug, Artic Frog, Layout Blueprints, Creating Keepsakes, Stamped in Ink, Junkitz, Heidi Swapp & Creative Imaginations. I think I'm forgetting some but just to give you an idea! There just is not enough time in a day, so much to do and NEVER enough time to do it all. Well I'm off to uploading more of the new stuff!

Where to begin..

It's been so long since I blogged I don't know where to begin. I got a new blog because of the horrible spam issues I was having with the other one.

Ok, so where to begin!! I am sooo excited about this weekend. I am having a Narratives with Karen Russell weekend, just in time for the release of her new products. I am getting a shipment tomorrow of new Creative Imaginations stuff and Karen's new stuff is in there. I am so excited, I keep having these dreams every night that something will go wrong, I don't know why. It's no secret, aside from totally loving Karen's products; I am a huge fan of her and her work. She's such an awesome person, how could you not love her. I am a religious reader of her blog :-)

I'm back in school again, full swing. It's been over a month the schoolwork just keeps getting piled on! I'm always on the go, go, go I don't know what to do when I actually do have a free minute, which really doesn't happen much.

The store is moving!! Well not very far, but it's still moving. It has been in the basement since I started it and to say the least I have totally outgrown the basement. SO, we built an addition onto the house. For those of you that don't know, I still live at home with my parents, while finishing up school and getting the store going. They are the most supportive parents in the world!! My father has wanted another garage for the longest time, so the addition will be his garage once I leave. I will have to post a picture as soon as I figure out how to do that on this blog.

I'm not really looking forward to moving all of the stuff once the addition is done, which should be 2 weeks tops. So what does that mean, HUGE sale up to 40% off in savings. Not everything’s on sale but there's still tons. I will be adding more and more stuff everyday as I get time. You can check out the Clearance Spot on the message boards to see what's on sale. Well, I guess that's it for now. Back to reading about my new blog! I'm trying to figure out how to move my blog entries over from my old one to this one.

wheww.. busy day!

I am sooo tired. I'm getting ready to go to bed. I just got done filling my orders to be mailed out tomorrow. I got a HUGE box of Heidi Swapp today, along with Scrapworks and the new KI Color Theory collection. I spent all day uploading. It seemed like every time I printed out an order to fill and filled it, when I came back I had another one! I was like will this ever end.. lol. Well it has.. lol I think. I'm not checking anymore. It's 1:30 in the morning and I am pooped out! I'm heading to bed so I can wake up and do it all again tomorrow!! :-P LOL!!

FINALLY.. I'm done uploading!!

I am FINALLY done uploading all the new Creative Imaginations Products I received yesterday. Two HUGE boxes were delivered! TONS of new goodies so make sure you check out what's new on the site. Nothing really exciting happening today, just another day of uploading!! LOL! Oh wait I just realized I didn't upload the New Sassafras Lass clear stamps yet.. ok so I'm ALMOST done!!

TODAY i got my issue of CK in the mail!!! I can't believe I'm in it, even if it's just in the back in small print!!!

A Fun Filled day of Filling Orders!!

Today was spent just filling orders! I can't believe it! My first National Scrapbook Day!! Well back to filling my orders!!

National Scrapbook Day Weekend

Saturday, May 6th, National Scrapbook Day was Brandon's and mine 4 yr. anniversary. What did I do?.. lol.. fill boxes. He came over later that night and spent the night. Sunday we just hung out around my house. My mom got crabs to celebrate everything coming up. My dad is going on a bike run for 2 weeks and could he have picked a more convenient time to go? I don't think so. May is always crazy around here. It starts like this.. April 30th is my parents’ anniversary. May 5th is my dad's birthday. May 6th is Brandon’s anniversary and mine, than there's mothers day. Then Mom's birthday is May 17th and Jeremy's is May 18th. My dad's going to be gone for the birthdays and mothers day so we celebrated them all on Sunday. The crabs were soo.. good!! The day was what I liked to call a "Lazy Sunday" we did a whole lot of nothing. Brandon and I played some video games with Jeremy.

Sunday night I took Brandon home and spent the night over there. This morning I jumped in bed and hit my head on the wall, HARD, VERY hard. It sounded like an egg cracking. I have felt so light headed and out of it all day. When I got home from Brandon's at 7 this morning, my head hurt so bad I decided to take a nap. A nap, I don't think so. My father woke me up at 3pm. I was in a deep sleep and could of slept a LOT longer. What a wasted day. Than my parents tell me I shouldn't have gone to sleep because I probably have concision. Needless to say I was totally out of it the rest of the day. I truly felt like the light was on but no one was home.
Jeremy got to pull the names of the National Scrapbook Day winners. He said "Hey, this is actually fun!" hahah

I am in Creating Keepsakes Magazine!!!

I took Jeremy and his friend to get a Rita's today and decided to stop into the scrapbook store right there. On the counter was the new issue of CK (that I haven't received yet) I was in a daze when I realized.. OMG.. I'm supposed to be in that issue!! I picked it up, flipped to the back and there I was!! I couldn't believe it. I was so happy!! I can't believe it!!

Anyway.. today was a much better day. After being down yesterday I decided that I had to try hard to get my name out there. It wasn't going to just happen over night! So I decided to contact a few of the designers whose products I carry. I asked them for advice and if there was anything they could do to help. Today I got a few emails back and am very excited! I can't wait!

I got a visit today from Meg, Annie, Annie's mom and little max! That alone could have just made my day! I love it when they stop over!! Oh my gosh Max is getting so big! I can't believe he's already a month old! Here are some pictures from their visit!

All and all today was a pretty good day! I am feeling much better. I just have to realize that miracles don't happen over night and like everything else I just have to work at it. I hope tomorrow I get a delivery though.. I am having UPS and fed-ex man with draw!! 

More Primas

Well along with the papers prima has a bunch of new stuff coming out that should be arriving within the next 2 weeks. Everyone wants a sneak peak so here ya go.. Here's some of the stuff!

Prima Papers

I'm in love!! LOL! I just saw the new prima papers and called and ordered them all!! Just wanted to let you know. They will be shipping next week! So be on the lookout. They will cost $.70 a sheet and are double sided! Here are the pics for what they look like.

Well I've got to go fill some orders and I got in some more sassafras Lass stuff so gotta check that in and upload it all! I'll post more later!!
