I am so sorry! I thought I had this blog post set to be posted on the day after my last post. I just realized it never posted, so I'm doing it now. I'm extending the date that I said the RAK was going to be too since I'm just now posting this.
Last Monday I woke up and decided that it was time to tackle the scrap room! That was part of my getting ready for the sale process. I couldn't even really get in the scrap room because of the amount of stuff in there and I'm never going to use it all. It's a nightmare to try to scrap, so I decided it was time to get to it. My motivation... selling all the stuff at the scrapbook yard sale. I spent 2 days emptying it out for the most part so I could go through it and organize it in the room as I brought it back in. Thursday quickly came and went and I hadn't even made a dent in it, already had 2+ boxes full of stuff to get rid of and realized this was going to take a lot longer then a week to do! At that point I realized I need to get crackin on getting the stuff ready I was going to sell from the store. (On a side note.. I forgot to take the boxes of stuff from my stash that I wanted to sell.. go figure!) So as of Thursday this is what my scrap room looks like.... (Please excuse the yellowish photos.. I was a bit lazy with my camera settings.)
Pretty much all the stuff in there still needs to be gone through with the exception of this...
I did go through all of this stuff so this spots now empty... I also emptied off both peg boards which were full of stuff. I wish I would have taken pictures before, but it was way too embarrassing. The whole room looked like what this one little spot looks like. However, this is now a little sampling of what the rest of the basement looks like....
I LOVE to organize! I know it sure doesn't look like that by these pictures, but I do. I can honestly say each and everyone of my drawers in my scrap room is nicely organized. The reason being for all the stuff on the floor... I never have the time to put stuff away. SO instead of putting it somewhere it doesn't belong I put it on the floor and say I'll put it away later, when I can put it in it's correct spot. Well needless to say by doing so it's not long that the floor is then covered and the piles begin!
Anyway I want to know how your scrap room/spot is set up. I want to see your scrap rooms. I want to know and see how you organize your room, your embellishments, your ribbons, letter stickers, paper... ANYTHING!! Tell me how you organize your scrap stuff and link to your room in your comment and everyone that does so will be entered into a RAK! Anyone and everyone is welcome to do it. I promise it'll be good stuff!!! I get all kinds of stuff from companies and since I'm not using it someone should, plus having a store never seemed to stop me from buying tons of product I'll never use! So I will give you until the 21st to leave a comment in this post to be entered in it. So what are you waiting for??? Let me see how you organize your stuff! Oh and if you know of another scrappers space that is great share those with me too please! Thanks!!

So I don't have a picture right now...I had to split my little corner in half and give it to my DH for his new computer. We got a treadmill to take his spot. And in that process he decided to help me which means it is all in huggies boxes. Not much to see now.

Well I don't really have a "space" it's kind of everywhere. I have several shelves in my utility room, and a couple of sterilite 12x12 drawer thingies on wheels that I keep my PP and CS in-
....but I was glad to see your pics-glad to know I'm not the only one with piles on the floor. LOL

I have one picture of my scraproom on my blog at www.scrappinmeme.blogspot.com and I have some on your board under my layouts. I have used everything that I possibly can from Ikea! I love their storage ideas. I store all my rubons in boxes, ribbon wrapped around clothes pins in glass jars. Paper is organized by cardstock and then patterned paper and stamps are all in baskets labeled. I use the label maker on everything and my most used items remain on my desk, a martha stewart farmhouse kitchen table. I love to have everything within reach that I use all of the time! I love to store my brads and eyelets in little jars also! I adore your space and can't wait to see the finished product!

you can visit my blog and see my slow but steady scraproom progress! It's almost done with the exception of the recessed lighting in the ceiling and the closet maid organizer.

I don't really have a space...yet. It is a combination computer room, craft room, storage room. We are in the process of redoing most of our house. (over MANY years.) Most of my supplies are packed in rolling totes and many plastic drawers that I used to use in my classroom. There are some amazing rooms posted on Two peas ina Bucket.

Ok, here goes...
My scrapbook room is tiny (I think 10' x 10') so I have to stay organized. My system is working for me. This first link is just general pics of the room.

This second link are pics of how I organize and what's in my drawers. My fave is how I organize my chipboard alphas in the over the door shoe organizer. Perfect for me! More detailed descriptions of each pic are also within these links.

This last link is to my DIY Clip It Up that I put under my counter. I still have plenty of knee space but I find that I tend to stand and create. I like that it's totally accessible but tucked out of the way.

That's about it!

Good job with your room. Sometimes clearing a physical spot can also help clear an emotional spot too! I have some cool metal tins from the Target $ spot -- they look like old bread loaf pans. They are holding my distress ink pads and other inks too.

This is my room...I used a lot of IKEA stuff and jars/buckets to organize. Proud to say it is still clean even after scrapping all Spring Break :) I am in the process of getting rid of the white paper cube and storing my patterned paper in the Expedit. Hope this works...found out via trial and error that I do not like the white cubes. Happy organizing! :)

That's so awesome of you to do! Here's my scrap space:

I love my tilt bins for small items, my Ikea Fira drawer units for chipboard alphabets & other things, my spice racks for my MM paints, my spice shelves for my Primas :) & my tilt bins & Target cubes.
Can't wait to see your room when you're all done with it!

Even though I've recently finished my room, it's always great to see other spaces. The organization process is never ending. Here is my most recent pics of my scrap niche with all the details http://twopeasinabucket.kaboose.com/pg.asp?cmd=display&layout_id=1301981

You left a comment on my scraproom at SIS. My favorite organization advice is a slat wall. I love looking up and being able to find all my embellishments. It also makes cleaning up a breeze. Can't wait to see your finished room.

Ok...well I sort of picked up my room, but calling it clean is a far stretch. But I photographed it anyhow. I show several of my storage solutions in my pictures. www.shabbylisaw.wordpress.com
